Awakening

Awakening, evocation of the partner and contrast between imagined presence and absence.

Author: Paynalton

Today I woke up and felt that you were by my side. I turned carefully to not wake you up and caressed the smooth skin that covers your body.

Without opening my eyes, I could smell your disheveled hair and felt as its fragrance filled my interior, causing my body to tremble in the joy of having you so close.

For a moment I wanted to recall what happened during the night, but I preferred to continue enjoying the happiness I felt by pressing my body against yours and feeling your naked figure and the warmth of your body, which piece by piece pulled pieces of my body away, leaving only my naked soul, submissive, to surrender to you in an immortal fidelity.

I whispered your name while listening to your calm breathing. Even if I kept enough silence, I could hear your heart beating at the same rhythm as mine, or rather, it was my heart that joined yours in a desire to unite with you forever.

Today I woke up and wished that you would stay by my side forever, that every morning you would be by my side filling me with happiness.

Today I woke up, the sun was already lighting up the room entering through the window.

Today I woke up and, as always, I found myself alone in the room.
