What changes when a tool can participate in our conversations and in the development of our ideas? When the toaster responds explores that relationship from a central concern: how to expand our capabilities without abandoning control over our thinking.

The journey connects the history of ideas, thinking alongside AI, and cognitive sovereignty. Through five parts, it approaches the life of ideas, what it means to think with others, the artificial interlocutor, the politics of artificial minds, and the possibility of extending the mind with these tools.

I wrote it preserving the authorial direction and relying on the process of work that drove GUACAMAYA. For me, the publication was also a way of putting into practice the questions that the book develops.

Parts

  1. The secret life of ideas.
  2. Thinking with others.
  3. The artificial interlocutor.
  4. The politics of artificial minds.
  5. Artificially extended mind.
