Currently we have three powers: Legislative, Judicial, and Executive.

Originally the legislative power was designed to be the voice of the people, to enact laws that would benefit the nation and to maintain control over the other two powers.

However the hatred toward the oligarchs who kept the country subjugated led to the denial of any access to power for these individuals, so they took action.

With patience they bribed the rulers, and these, with the resources obtained, promoted their families to government positions, displacing thus all popular representatives.

Currently there exists a political class composed of the descendants and friends of these families; someone who does not belong to this class finds it almost impossible to penetrate the government.

Although we could dissolve the political class and prevent the oligarchs from controlling the legislative power, it would be a matter of time before they found a new way to corrupt the system; they have the resources and the patience to do so.

Moreover, the existence of a political class is necessary in these times, since they are people who were educated to govern and whose efficiency could surpass that of rulers in other countries.

The best option would be to create a fourth power, represented by the people and designed to be incorruptible. This system should be the voice of the people and regulate the actions of the legislative, allowing actions that benefit the nation and vetoing actions that harm it.
