A small baby whom I loved with all the strength of my soul, my first son, you were.

When the first January 6th of your life arrived, I once again remembered the stories that were told to me as a child.

It is said that the Three Kings go in search of whoever might be the new savior of the world, and since they don't know who that child is, they leave gifts for every small child who shows kindness in their heart.

That morning you were asleep, and I once again asked myself, as I did that time, what it is that the Three Kings consider in order to decide whether a child is worthy of receiving gifts or not.

I didn't get an answer, but I knew that a baby like you couldn't have committed any sin nor could have acted with bad intentions, yet there was nothing under the tree.

It was then that I made my decision: It doesn't matter if you are good or bad, a sinner or innocent, a victim or a perpetrator, you are my son and I love you for that, so even if those kings do not consider you worthy of the heavenly gifts, I will make sure, year after year, no matter what happens, that your eyes would shine when you discover a small package wrapped in shiny paper under that tree.

And so each year I kept silent, waiting for the only reward I could hope for: to see the light of your eyes at least once a year.

I hope that someday you will forgive me, for I do not regret what I have done, and if you allow me, I wish to continue doing so until my arms are too weak to carry out this task.

Love, your father.

P.S. **I Am A Wheel!!!
