What are you entitled to? To pain? To suffering? To hunger? To constant anguish? To continuous uncertainty about tomorrow?

Certainly, these are the inherent rights of any human being who chooses apathy and conformity in the face of fate.

But even servility brings with it a desire for progress, for security, for happiness. At the moment when a human being lifts a rock to clear a path, takes his tools to build, thinks of new techniques, new philosophies, new methods, and breaks away from the static nature of his existence, at that moment the human being is entitled to new rights.

Do not fear to eat until you can't anymore if you are hungry. Do not fear to sleep if you cannot fight off fatigue, do not fear to play, to laugh, to be happy, for these are the rights that you gain when you open your eyes every morning and make your day a symbol of work and progress.

There is no shame in enjoying the rights you have won, in living the life you have earned, nor in feeling satisfied with what you have done, for in every movement, in every thought, in every sigh, you have given meaning to existence, and there is no sin in giving glory to life.

Let the preachers of death continue to proclaim the cult of pain and suffering, let them dream of kingdoms of the dead and seek illumination in their own suffering, for even in their proclamation they are glorifying life, and in their search for death they are giving use to the gift of existence.
